Sugar Shack is a great cabin that my wife and I enjoyed living in and recently put back in the rental program. It is located across from the Inn/Conference Center and next to the Grandview cabin. One of our favorite things to do was to sit in the front porch swing in the evenings and watch the wildlife around the lake. The cabin is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a leather pullout couch. It has a fireplace in the very cozy and well decorated living room. The back deck and the firepit are surrounded by woods. This cabin has always been very popular with families because it is a short walk down to the largest lake in the resort. It has 2 docks on it, and is a great place to go and just sit.

One of the best uses of money ever. The cabin was much better than I anticipated and was just incredible. Had an amazing time down there. The rooms are cozy, the cabin huge, and the hot tub amazing. I will be coming back.

We came to the Sugar Shack for our honeymoon. It was the perfect getaway. We were allowed to bring our dogs. There's a lake close by that we fished. We had such a relaxing time that we have already booked this same cabin for a return trip this fall and will probably be back next spring/summer.

This was the perfect get-a-away for our family! Great hiking trails, fishing nearby, natural bridge, and just a ton of things to do. We will be back to visit again soon. Thank you so much Ian and Sandy for answering our questions and guiding us to the great sites!!

Take I-75 south towards Lexington Kentucky.
Take I-64 east.
Take Mountain Parkway (east/south) toward Natural Bridge State Park.
Follow Mountain Parkway to Exit #33 Slade, Kentucky.
Turn right off exit onto Route 11.
Follow Route 11 until you reach Route 715.
Turn left onto Route 715.
Follow Route 715 for approximately 1 mile until you see a sign that says "Cliffview Resort" on right.
Follow main road (Cliffview Rd.) straight past Deer Lake (left) and Deer Ridge (right) to Cliffview Welcome Center.
Do not stop at the welcome center; just proceed to your cabin since you have the gate and cabin codes. Now just follow the Resort Map you printed out. If you have any problems or questions, just call the office at 606-668-3272. After you have this printed out, you can click on the Resort Maps button in the top left hand column on this page, and you can Google from your house to the Resort Office. You will still need this map to find the cabin itself.
